Hybrid Effectiveness-Implementation Trial to Evaluate a Scalable, Peer-Delivered Intervention for Depression among People with Substance Use in a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic

NIH R01

About the Project

Training peer recovery coaches (individuals in long-term recovery who work on substance use treatment teams) in an evidence-based intervention: Behavioral Activation. The project focuses on adult participants who are seeking services in a community-based substance use treatment center. Main outcomes of the project include looking at changes in symptoms of depression, substance misuse and how the availability of activating spaces in the built environment impacts how well the intervention works.
